or send us an email or give us a call . we'd love to hear what you think! the contact information is on your screen. stephanie: keeping an eye on education now-- stephanie/ram: the waiting game has officially started for iowa school districts hoping to find out how much money they'll get next year. at the statehouse - lawmakers started with a 4 percent increase, then it changed to 2 percent - that wasn't agreed upon either. so where is the funding bill now? it will go to a special conference committee. that's where it was stuck for much of the session last year, before legislators made a final decision. this year, lawmakers have said it's their top priority and they'll decide on it as soon as possible. jack: in your local election headquarters. jack/lam: we're five days from the iowa caucuses. once the presumed front runner, jeb bush, is now registering 4 percent in the most recent quinnipiac poll of likely republican caucus goers. but that's not stopping volunteers and staffers from working to get out the vote. about 20 volunteers made calls to voters today, and staffers tell us that's about how many are always at the

jeb hasn't spent much time in iowa lately, but his campaign says they still plan on doing well caucus night. "i think our expectations are to do very very well to have a strong showing here it's the first step in the process and we feel that iowa understands that we need to elect a commander in chief someone that can fix the mess thats been left in washington dc and they understand that jeb bush is the best qualifed indvidual to do that job " stephanie/ram: and also on the republican side, presidential candidate mike huckabee was at local 5 studios last night. this election cycle, religious liberty and anti- abortion have been two of gov. huckabee's major platform issues. and with the recent court decision to drop charges against planned parenthood. to say wait a minute.. every time we do an undercover story, every time we do an investigative piece, we could potentially be charged with a felony. this is pretty serious.. again its a different assault on the first amendment but another assault on the first amendment. jack: and with caucus night quickly approaching, senator chuck grassley announced that while he may not be caucusing, he will be showing his support for the republican presidential candidates. he'll attend many of their events throughout the state this weekend. stephanie/ram: quinnipiac university released it's latest poll of likely democratic caucus goers today. bernie sanders once again edged out hillary clinton... but only by a couple of points. with 49 percent sanders has a four point lead over hillary clinton who got 45 percent in the poll. former maryland governor martin omalley got 4 percent. jack: and with just five days left until caucus night, the countdown is on! today, set-up for caucus night began at capital square downtown. all media coverage will be headquartered there as the numbers roll in on monday. jack/1shot: you may remember this story about a former hawkeye football player who went on to win a super bowl with the new york giants. tyler sash was found dead in his oskaloosa home in september. the toxicology report showed he died from an accidental mixture of two painkillers. following his death, his family donated his brain to researchers to look for signs of chronic traumatic encephalopathy or c-t-e. it's a degenerative brain disease

" nat pop iowa fight song" stephanie: we showed you this story yesterday, today, after six months, a song that has been on repeat from a vacant niagara falls building is finally off. since last year, businesses on the same street have been tormented from 3-11p.m. each night with the university of iowa fight song. "no one knows why it was happening. it was pretty annoying. or what the purpose is. " stephanie: the building is owned by a man named "smokin" joe anderson. yesterday, anderson's assistant would not shed any light on why the song was playing and said anderson would not be talking about it, but did say that

control what you do on the court. the size of the court is still the same, the ball is still the same. it's all about controlling your emotions and finding a way to win. every road game in the big 10 is very tough, no matter what opponent it is. whether they're the 4th seed or 14th seed. you have to stay confident. when the crowd gets into it, the building is shaking you gotta keep a level head. jon: iowa and maryland tip off at 6pm tomorrow night on espn. the university of iowa is responding after some of its athletes have been playing a part in presidential candidate events. members of the hawkeye football team came up onto the stage at last night's donald trump event in iowa city. they even gave him a jersey with a number one on it. and as kcrg-s mark carlson some might be it's not against the university's policy.
